The film is directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti…
After the phenomenal success of Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha, Nani is back once again with a mysterious movie called Gentleman. The teaser and trailer had really painted Nani’s character as really grey, but the film so far has nothing of that sort. Our reviewer H Shivkumar is watching the film currently and this is what he had to say after the interval, “The story of Gentleman begins on a plane, where two women meet, Catherine and Aishwariya. As they begin talking, the topic moves to their love lives and both of them reveal details of their love stories to each other. Catherine meets Gautham, played by Nani, in a church ceremony. Gautham is a fully filmy type guy, constantly chasing her to her office and persuading her to love him.
On the other hand, Aishwariya is engaged to Jai, a super rich businessman. The two meet coz of their families and they plan an impromptu trip to Kodaikanal. There the two discard all their money and phones and live life on the road, making money as they go. Through this unusual journey, Aishwariya and Jai fall for each other.
As the two finish their tales, they reach India. But in a shocking twist, it turns out that Aishwariya’s fiancee looks just like Gautham, Catherine’s boyfriend. As Catherine goes to Gautham’s house, she finds out about something that turns her world upside down. Looks like the actual story is just beginning.
Nani got the title of Natural Star for a reason – he is perfectly at ease in any role he plays. His wits and charm are the life and soul of the movie. He is super engaging as both Gautham and Jai, who are very different in personality. Niveda Thomas is also really pretty good as Catherine, a girl who is trying to find out what happened to her boyfriend. The plot is certainly thickening to make a really riveting second half.”
