We will tell you why…
So we saw the poster of Dream Team, the tour that Karan Johar has pieced together for his progeny…oops, sorry protegés with a few exceptions. We took a long hard look at it and discovered a few things which are damn striking. The stars have been placed keeping in mind a lot of permutations and combinations so that one doesn’t affect the other. But before we go on, let us give you some info about this tour. It’s a US tour where Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur would be seen entertaining the ticket paying audience. But it’s the way the poster has been designed which is making us chuckle a little too much. Here’s how…
1. It seems a clear demarcation has been made depending on their present career status. So you have Katrina Kaif resting her arms on Aditya Roy Kapur – new way of providing shoulder to cry on after Fitoor and a nasty breakup. Oh and not to forget Parineeti Chopra whose last flop was Kill Dil since we couldn’t remember her last hit. Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra have been kept on the other side like Power Couples. Alia-Varun is a hit pair and Sidharth gave a hit with Kapoor & Sons with her. The power shift!
2. We saw something funny in the Power couples as well. As you all must be aware, Varun and Alia are now ex-es and the actress is now dating Sidharth Malhotra. So to keep everyone happy, Alia is standing next to her beau while Varun is fine being at the top. He is kept away from Sidharth since these two are no longer friends. Ladki beautiful kar gayi chull? *Winks*
3. Varun dhawan is the most successful actor in this selection of stars. So, he is comfortably kept at the top which is deserving enough. Every body else is just in the periphery.
4. Badshah is a popular name not only in India but abroad as well. But you will hardly look at him in the poster. He is made to sit at a position people wouldn’t pay much heed to. In fact, he goes unnoticed.
5. Karan Johar, who is the man behind it all, is standing at one corner, almost behind Katrina Kaif. We understand him trying to let the young guns hog the limelight but he needn’t go into hiding. And that too behind Katrina with whom he hasn’t done any films but looks like a mentor.
The positioning of people on this poster seems to be a well-thought out plan and an unsuccessful one at that. We could see right through it!
