Tusshar Kapoor is not the only celebrity who chose to become a single parent via the non-biological route!
Tusshar’s announcement of turning a father today to a baby boy dropped many jaws! But, he’s not the first one who chose to become a parent without tying in any nuptials.

Tusshar Kapoor turned a father today to a baby boy called Laksshya. the baby was born through IVF and surrogacy.
Tusshar said, “I am thrilled to be a father! The paternal instincts in me have been overpowering my heart and mind for some time now. Therefore, I am thrilled beyond words to have Laksshya, now the greatest source of joy in my life. By the greatness of God and the excellent medical team at Jaslok, parenthood is an option for many, who choose to be single parents.”

The former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen is a proud single mother of two beautiful girls – Renee and Alisah. She was 25 and single when she adopted her first child Renee. Choreographer Sandip Soparrkar took up the responsibility of bringing up a child before he got married. In an interview he said “I grew up in a family where there have been some adoptions and I thought it is a beautiful thing to do. So when I felt I was financially capable of looking after a child, I decided to go ahead.”

The renowned Malayali actress and Bharatanatyam dancer, Shobhana adopted a baby girl in 2010 who goes by the name Narayani. She hasn’t married anyone till date.
