Sayyeshaa: I was on cloud nine when I was told that Chiranjeevi sir loved my performance!

The Shivaay actress who performed the megastar’s iconic veena step at an awards event says impressing the veteran meant the world to her.

“It was the most memorable night of my life. I’ve grown up watching films of Chiranjeevi sir, Balakrishna sir, Venkatesh sir and Nagarjuna sir. And Chiranjeevi sir was sitting in the first row when I danced to his songs. The zenith of my performance was the moment when I did the iconic ‘veena step’ that was immortalised by Chiranjeevi, right in front of him. It was a big moment for me and I was thrilled with the response from everyone,” Sayyeshaa said in a statement.

Chiranjeevi is said to have been impressed with her performance

“I was backstage after my performance and by the time I came to the venue, Chiranjeevi sir had left. But I was on cloud nine when I was told that he loved my performance. It meant the world to me,” Sayyeshaa said.

Having made her acting debut with Telugu film “Akhil” last year, Sayyeshaa currently awaits the release of her Hindi debut “Shivaay” which is directed and produced by Ajay Devgn. It is touted to be one of his biggest projects. in one the recent posters, Ajay Introduced Sayyeshaa to the Shivaay family. He has been sharing pictures around the movie and keeping the curiosity alive on social media.

As for Chiranjeevi, he was given a grand welcome at SIIMA 2016. Apart from that, he’s working on his 150th film Kathilantodu which is the remake of the Tamil hit Kaththi. The film will be produced by his son Ram Charan. The superstar is coming back to the big screen after a long hiatus. The Telugu remake will have all the elements of a typical Telugu film. He will be playing a dual role – one of a cop and the other of a criminal. Reportedly Anushka Shetty will be starring opposite the megastar in this film.
